Edie Shephard, FAME Pro Fitness Model was featured on City TV this past Tuesday! Edie is already regarded as a role model for fitness model enthusiasts and competitors worldwide, and with this feature now single mom’s and parents are also bound to be inspired. The episode shows how it's possible to lead a balanced and healthy lifestyle as a mom and even as a single mom. Edie was featured both as a mother who takes her daughters to school and as a Fitness Professional working out and participating in photo shoots - while wearing her Proud FAME Athlete tee... Edie was most recently seen at the Derrick Brown FAME Prairies this past weekend where she joined the list of FAME Pros who are now WNSO Judges. Edie was awesome on the panel and is ready to bring it on at the FAME World Championships Pro Showdown on June 14 in Toronto.
FAME Competitor Valerie White has been cast for the TV Show “Fear Itself”! Watch for her! The episodes start airing in May. By maintaining a healthy diet and an active lifestyle, Valerie made the decision to compete in the FAME Prairies the day before the show! Congratulations Valerie - we love how you exemplify the FAME Lifestyle that we promote! Next up - catch her on the FAME Stage at the FAME World Championships (june 13-15, Toronto).
Attention FAMErs - YOU can be in the Spotlight Next: Longtime WNSO Judge and FAME Supporter, Rodney De Freitas, who brought us Hard Wear Athletics has a brand new clothing line that is about to be launched... and he's looking for you!!! Now YOU can become the New Face of De Freitas Lifestyle Apparel. Auditions are now underway. Just visit this link and add 3 recent photos - active wear; swimwear and casual. That should be easy for all you FAMErs! Please note though that they are NOT looking for hard, ripped competition level physiques, rather softer well toned bodies. The 40 finalists will be invited to meet with Rodney himself as well as famed photographer Paul Buceta after which time 5 women will be selected as the face of De Freitas Lifestyle Apparel! Models MUST be between 25 to 45 years old, female and living within Ontario or Quebec. Each winner will be paid $500 for a full day shoot. GOOD LUCK!!!
FAME Pro Laurie Dickson is a busy girl! Flying to and from Toronto for photoshoots; writing articles for Inside Fitness Magazine, a frinalist in the Ujena Swimwear photo submission contest, an upcoming TV interview focusing on her prep for the FAME World Championships Pro Showdown and a newspaper feature! Pretty impressive for a single mom of 2 children. Like Edie, Laurie also is a perfect role models for moms proving that fitness is contagious - her 5 year old can ven execute 6 dips and 14 pushups! Congratulations Laurie! We're looking very forward to seeing more of you on the FAME Stage!
FAME Pro Diana Chaloux hosts the very first Diana Chaloux FAME South Central Championships this Saturday in San Antonio, Texas. In other exciting news, Diana is also a new cover model appearing on the front of FAME Magazine. Catch it this May. Jenny Arnold, a Personal Trainer who trains many FAMErs in British Columbia (which include three FAME Pros) is now building her business around FAME! "With your Awesome new categories it has opened the door for a lot more new athletes" which is one reason why Jenny and her husband are now opening their own Training Studio in Maple Ridge. Not only that, after seeing the success of her clients and how much fun they have, both Jenny and her husband are actually going to be making a comeback and will compete themselves! Congratulations Jenny!

Another two are now a great memory... Still many more to go!
First: FAME has made history and it all took place last weekend at the Derrick Brown FAME Prairies! With 218 competitors the FAME Prairies was the largest regional event ever! All shows were sold out (Judging and 2 separate Finals) with people opting to pay for standing room only and filling up the aisles! What a huge success!
Thank you to Derrick, James Scott and Donna Brown and a special thanks to all the FAME Pros who came out to the event to judge, assist backstage, offer support and/or who trained athletes for the show. It's Official... FAME Pro Michael Elias has been brought on as the new Creative Director for FAME Media Group. WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS - Who Can Compete?
Athletes: All athletes will receive mega participation packages which include elegant competition medallions; bamboo 2008 FAME World Tour T-Shirts, Charcoal insoles, Gift certificates & Coupons and much more!
Athletes are all invited to participate in Media Day Blitz which is a fun time to get to know your fellow athletes while getting more exposure for yourself and the event. Photographers will be a part of the fun as well.
All Pros are invited to attend the Press Conference Breakfast to kick off the weekend. Media will be in attendance.
OxygenFit is setting up a whole gym area backstage which is perfect for onsite photo shoots during the competition. Many high end and well known photographers will be on hand to shoot the event and the athletes privately to get photos for magazines, calendars and advertisements.

Who Can Compete?: The FAME World Championships is an open event for Bikini Models & Muscle Models as well as all Juniors, Masters, Grandmasters & Super Grandmasters athletes. Everyone else must first qualify by competing in any of the FAME World Tour Regional Events or attend a FAME Idol and audition your way into the show!
Posters are Available: The posters for the FAME World Championships are now printed and looking fantastic. FAME Pros Julie Marsland, Kendall Wood and Annik Nayler can now be featured on your wall! If you would like one for your house or office just let us know. We would also really appreciate it if you can help with the ‘Tour’ promotions by taking the poster to your local area gyms, nutrition stores, tanning salons etc. If you’re able and willing, please let us know. Just send us your address and let us know how many to send. Thanks so much for your help and for supporting FAME and the competitors!
ALL REGIONAL EVENTS
All regional events give athletes the opportunity to qualify to compete at the FAME World Championships (Toronto, June 13-15). Plus for Advanced Status athletes, these shows are PRO Qualifiers meaning that you can win your PRO Status to compete in the prestigious PRO Class! Each event has representatives from FAME Model and Talent who are scouting to award contracts with the agency. As well, FAME Magazine staff are always on hand to cover the show and feature any good story angles and photos.
Diana Chaloux FAME South Central Championships & Health Expo:
(May 3, San Antonio, Texas)
FAME Pro Diana Chaloux has so much going on during this show... It's more than just a contest. With climbing walls, a large health expo, MMA stars Donnie Blue & Rudy Hernandez, CPW Professional Wrestling featuring Mark Von Erich vs the One Man Gang and much more, this show is going to kickstart Texans getting into better shape. Diana is already a local celebrity here having repetitive interviews on ESPN and radio shows and we forsee her show being a huge success! Check her site here.
Lyzabeth Lopez FAME Classic & Dance Championships (May 10, Toronto, Ontario)
For the first time ever the FAME World Tour joins forces with Dyzee and Back to the Underground to unite dance with fitness and modeling for this unprecedented series of competitions set to expand worldwide.
Along with the competition and workshops, the public can spend time in the marketplace expo and save money on special discounted dance items, makeup, jewelry, belly gems, and tattoos.
According to FAME presidents, Jeffrey Kippel and Mindy Blackstien, Lyzabeth Lopez, a professional fitness model, dancer and choreographer "had the vision to unite all the fields she is passionate for and create this unique event.”
With already over 130 dancers and some of the biggest names in the industry: FAM, MEC, FRESH FORMAT, GROUND ILLUSIONZ, ILLMATICS, REDMASK, ARMS, LEGZ, STYLORDZ, ALBINO ZEBRAS, QC ROCK, OVER REV, this is going to be a most spectacular dance contest ever.
